The KPI scorecard

These definitions are designed to be reproducible. Keep the date range, status rules, and staff population consistent when comparing periods.

Throughput

Completion rate = completed jobs ÷ scheduled jobs
Jobs per field employee = completed jobs ÷ active field employees
Revenue per field employee = completed-job revenue ÷ active field employees

Commercial

Average job value = completed-job revenue ÷ completed jobs
Estimate acceptance = accepted estimates ÷ decided estimates
Recurring revenue share = recurring-job revenue ÷ completed-job revenue

Profitability

Job profit = revenue − labor − materials − expenses
Job margin = job profit ÷ job revenue
Margin variance = quoted margin − completed-job margin

Cash

Collection cycle = paid date minus invoice sent date
Outstanding ratio = unpaid invoiced value divided by invoiced value
Aging mix = receivables in current, 1 to 30, 31 to 60, 61 to 90, and 90+ day buckets
